First Presbyterian Church of Bellevue
Saturday Morning Men's Bible Study Retreat
at "Chalet Talley" March 31 and April 1, 2006

Our host (and wonderful cook), Jack Talley, has been a long time member of our group, but has in recent years been devoting his Saturdays to his family.

The "Barn" (which includes a sleeping area along with its half court basketball floor) and the more elegant "Chalet" where our retreat was centered, were specifically built as an intimate Christian retreat center near Cle Elum, Washington.

Thank you, Jack and Deb Talley, for your vision and gracious hospitality.

Our first order of business on Friday night was a wonderful German-inspired dinner.

A small but elegant chapel graces the second floor.

Youth groups especially enjoy the Barn building
where some of our men slept.

It was no April Fools joke that we woke to a dusting of snow with which God beautified our morning.  It also melted in time to make the trip home a safe one.

Tim did a great job facilitating our discussions on "faith."  We were all pleased that Phil Voigt was able to attend.

Carvings of Old Testament Bible scenes decorate the space between the first and second floors above the great room.  New Testament images like this one adorn the second floor chapel.
