BCS
on to State Again
With the exception of the
Emerald City League
Championships (where the BCS
girls took 3rd), Jeannie Beth
has improved with every race
this season. She ran a great
race at Lincoln Park on the 14th
and followed that up at the end
of the month with a
23:32.9 at the
Tri-District Championships in a
heavy rain on the American Lake
Veterans Golf Course. Jean saved
the day for BCS last year with a
23:32.1 and a
5th place team finish that
earned the team a trip to State.
This year she ran in 7th place
for BCS and the girls again
captured the 5th and final
qualifying team spot at State.
The BCS
girls will be joined at State by senior
Michael Milbank and sophomore
Daniel Nortz .
Once again I
will represent the Bellevue
Reporter newspaper as their
photographer in Pasco. The
end-of-season banquet is just
three days after the State race
so I'll be hard pressed to get
my photographic work done in
time.
Nathanael Peaks at Just the

The
SPU athletics website used
my photo (right) of Nathanael
from two weeks earlier on the
same course.
And on
October 30th, at he SPU XC
Halloween dash, Nathanael won (again)
for "Most Original Costume." He
dressed up (and ran as) the
Witch-king
of Angmar, Lord of the Nazgul.
