Jean
Turns 25
Jean
was quite willing to let much of the attention at
her 25th birthday party on the 9th go to her niece
Charis.
She was happy that they don't share the same
birthdate, but she expects that in the years to come,
they may share many birthday parties.
Jean has every intent to be "the fun aunt." |
 Jean
Takes Her Show on the Road
On the night of the 27th, Jean
took American Airlines to Philadelphia, transferred on
to Albany, NY, and the next morning caught a shuttle to
Lenox, Massachusetts, close to the New York boarder.
She's
having the trip of a lifetime to study acting on the
Shakespeare & Company campus. It's
described as, a "storied
Shakespeare-centric theater company, boasting 3 stages,
actor training and nature walks."
A beautiful setting indeed, but
on this last day of December, Lenox, MA, has a high of
4° and a low of -9°.

 A White Christmas!
Nancy declared this the most relaxing Christmas in memory. Part
of that may have been caused by using last year's "Charlie Brown"
tree (left). We left it on the deck with a single
ornament, and God decorated it with snow. It began
snowing on Christmas Eve and we enjoyed a beautiful
white Christmas. The roads remained passable and was
mostly gone by Boxing Day.
Charis remained the center of
attention, often demanding it with her pleas for
dinner. We broke a record with fifteen around the
Christmas dinner table, (16 if you count Charis). There were more Dishers
than Sleights if you count Charis, or a tie if we count
Baby Sleight due in June.
Annie, Thomas, and Charis
reprised the scene of the Holy Family that Jean, Nancy,
and I acted out back in 1992.
