Hi, I'm Dr. Dick Sleight.
I have retired after 44 years of university teaching
and service. For twelve years, I was a
Lecturer in the College of Engineering at the
University of Washington. Then after 32 years
at Seattle Pacific University, 30 in the business
school, upon my retirement I was named
Instructor Emeritus of Spreadsheets and Business
Statistics by the SPU Board of Trustees.
Here
is my story in outline.
I established SL8.com in 1997 as a means of sharing
my skills in areas such as web design and Microsoft
Excel, subjects I taught for over 25 years at SPU.
I am also a
photographer
with experience shooting portraits, sporting events,
nature, and a variety of other subjects.
I am also a
Christian
and have taught Bible classes and led Bible
studies for decades. I am an
Ordained Independent Minister of the Gospel.
